KLIMS'18: Kawasaki Ninja superbikes launched

By A. NACHI | 27 November 2018

Kawasaki recently launched two new superbikes during the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018 (KLIMS'18).

The motorcycles are none other than the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.

The Ninja ZX-10RR is the closest thing to a World Superbike Championship machine.

With production limited to 500 numbered units worldwide, the Ninja ZX-10RR is only for the lucky few.

This 999cc machine is able to churn out the 201hp. Kawasaki has also raised the flat torque curve of the previous model, maintaining the Ninja ZX-10RR’s nimbleness while offering increased power.

Other notable features include Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Kawasaki Launch Control Model (KLCM) and Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS).

The single-seat Kawasaki ZX-10RR comes in Kawasaki green only.

Meanwhile, the Ninja ZX-6R comes with the iconic 636cc Ninja powerhouse.

The ZX-6R offers stronger low and mid-range torque which is practical in everyday street-riding conditions.

Its chassis setting has been tuned to focus on winding roads suitable for the track and the highways.

This machine offers 127hp and comes in black. This model is equipped with Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Power Mode, Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) and Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) (upshift only).

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will be made available at selected Kawasaki dealers, at the tail-end of first quarter 2019.
