KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has been teasing the public with the HR-V RS since July with only exterior views of the compact SUV. It is giving a full preview today when it showcased the SUV at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS 2018).

Honda Malaysia said it has received over 4,100 pre-bookings for the latest HR-V variant since July.

The theme for the HR-V RS is "sporty", so Honda has reworked the outside and inside to convey that appearance. It gets a new exterior featuring Honda’s Signature design, the "Solid Wing Face" concept with new LED headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), LED fog lights and rear combi LED guide lights.

Engine remains unchanged, with the HR-V RS powered by a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC mill linked to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). But upping its performance is the new Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system for sportier driving.
