SANT’AGATA BOLOGNESE (Italy): Behold, Automobili Lamborghini's latest evolution of its popular Huracán "bull" that now sends power purely to the rear.

With deliveries to begin the second quarter of 2020, the Italian supercar maker has revealed that its Huracán EVO RWD variant will cost USD$208,571 (RM855,000).

On the outside, the Huracán's skin is made out of a combination of aluminium and composite materials that have been fitted onto an aluminium-carbon fibre hybrid chassis.

With a 2,620mm wheelbase, the Huracán's dimensions are locked in at 4,520mm-long, 2,236mm-wide and 1,165mm-tall.

The entire body has been suspended by an aluminium double-wishbone suspension setup fitted with steel springs and hydraulic dampers or a “MagneRide” electromagnetic damper control that's also available as an optional extra.

At the rear, under its aluminium skin is a venerable 5.2-litre (5,204cc) naturally-aspirated V10 engine that drinks from an 83-litre fuel tank while possessing a 90-degree cylinder bank as well as a compression ratio of 12.7:1.

Power output has been rated at 610hp at 8,000rpm and 560N of torque at 6,500rpm - all of which gets managed by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission equipped with a 187mm double-plate clutch before sending it to the rear.

Doing so allows this Huracán to launch from 0 to 100kph in 3.3 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 325kph.

With all the twist headed to the rear wheels alone, the Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) had to be re-calibrated so that it can deliver torque even when the car is going side-ways.

For stopping power, this Huracán uses a hydraulic dual-circuit brake system that comes with a vacuum brake servo unit.

This comprises of a pair of front eight-piston and rear four-piston aluminium callipers that "crush" the specially contoured 365 x 34mm (front) and 356 x 32mm (rear) ventilated and cross-drilled steel discs.

This allows the 1,389kg (dry) Huracan to come to a complete stop from 100kph in 31.9m.

The excess heat generated by the brakes get vented past the staggered 19-inch wheels - 8.5J (front) and 11J (rear), wearing 245/35 (front) and 305/35 (rear) Pirelli P Zero tyres.

As an optional extra, 20-inch wheels and carbo-ceramic (carbon + ceramic) brakes are also available.

Inside, the cockpit features an HMI 8.4-inch touchscreen in the centre console and gets Bluetooth connectivity, internet access and Apple CarPlay among others.

Both inside and out, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program provides unsurpassed options for colour and trim personalization, allowing owners of the Huracán EVO RWD to impose their individual style and personality onto their new Lamborghini driving machine.

In order to emphasize the shape of the car the new colour, Giallo Belenus (yellow), has been developed together with a dedicated leather and Alcantara colour for the interior trim to match the new exterior paint.
