Lamborghini parked at KL condo catches fire

UPDATE: A source has claimed that CCTV recordings revealed two men on a motorcycle throwing liquid, believed to be petrol, at the yellow Lamborghini. The vehicle is said to belong to a businessman who has a company based in Langkawi.

 

KUALA LUMPUR: A Lamborghini Aventador parked at Pavilion Residences in Bukit Bintang here caught fire early today.

Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Mohd Rozi Jusoh said the department received a distress call at 2.40am.

Fourteen personnel along with several fire engines were dispatched to the scene.

"The vehicle, which was on fire, was on the first floor of the parking area," said Mohd Rozi  when contacted.

"The fire damaged about 40% of the car, including the engine."

Firemen took several minutes to put out the blaze.

Mohd Rozi  said the cause of the fire is being investigated.

A new Aventador sells from around RM2.2mil in Malaysia. It has a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine outputting 690hp to 760hp, depending on variant.
