PETALING JAYA: Land Rover has announced the arrival of its Discovery Sport sport utility vehicle (SUV) that promises greater comfort, safety, versatility, refinement, efficiency and of course performance.

The new Discovery Sport can be found at all Land Rover showrooms nationwide and have been priced at RM379,800 (excluding road tax, registration and insurance).

All Land Rover vehicles, distributed by authorised dealers, are covered by the ‘Land Rover Care’ programme, which is based on whichever comes first, and provides a five-year warranty or 150,000km, five-year servicing or 65,000km and a three-year Roadside Assistance.

Firstly, the 2.0-litre turbocharged Ingenium engine produces 240PS and 340Nm of torque for the nine-speed ZF automatic transmission to manage.

This helps provide for low-end response, an improved mid-range acceleration and lower engine speeds when cruising at high speed - all of which helps to reduce fuel consumption, emissions and engine noise.

Additionally, the interior (with seven airbags) has been dialled with more comfort, safety and versatility through its configurable 5+2 seating option when travelling at an 'altitude' of 340mm from the ground.

Meanwhile, the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system keeps occupants entertained with its smartphone-like touchscreen behaviour, customisable home screen and wallpaper and the ability to add widgets for shortcuts to favourite features.
