LOS ANGELES: California-based designer Le Yang Bai has rendered his interpretation of the next-generation Nissan Fairlady, with styling cues inspired by the legendary 240Z.

Earlier this year, rumours had emerged about the next-generation Z sports car using retro styling designs from the 240Z.

The renderings on his blog are collated into what he dubs the "Nissan Fairlady 480Z".

The designer says it was a personal project based on redesigning one of his favourite Japanese classics, the Nissan Fairlady.
