Locally assembled Tucson 2.0L introduced

SHAH ALAM: Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has rolled-out the locally assembled version of the Tucson 2.0L, Hyundai’s mid-size SUV from Inokom’s plant in Kulim.

The locally assembled Tucson incorporates several upgraded features such as the LED Daytime Running Lights, and leather seats across all variants.

With no changes under the bonnet, the Tucson 2.0L maintains the 2.0 NU engine that delivers 156hp at 6,200rpm.

Colour options for the Tucson include Pure White, Titanium Grey, Hyper Metallic, Pepper Grey, and exclusive colours for the Sport variant are Remington Red, Phantom Black Sleek Silver and Platinum Silver.

The locally assembled Tucson is available in two variants: NU 2.0 Elegance at RM115, 888   and NU 2.0 Sport at RM132, 888 (prices exclude insurance premium, road tax, registration fees and hire-purchase ownership and applicable to Peninsular Malaysia only).

HSDM offers a 5-year or 300,000km (whichever comes first) extended warranty on all its new passenger vehicles. A 24-hour road assist service is also now available to new and existing Hyundai vehicles.

The Tucson, which made its worldwide debut in 2004, has chalked up global sales of more than 2 million units.

“The Tucson has been one of Hyundai’s more popular models and we have introduced this locally-assembled model to make it more accessible to Malaysians,” said Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors managing director Lau Yit Mun.
