KUALA LUMPUR: Michelin Malaysia picked a lucky winner from its Asian Le Mans Series Facebook (2014) contest to receive VIP tickets to the race at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and a meet-and-greet session with the teams.

The winner was 48-year old motorsports enthusiast John Chu, who was required to snap a picture of Michelin tyres and post it, along with a line about why they want to win the tickets to the race, on the company’s official Facebook page.

The contest offered its winners (and one partner) a VIP experience in an air-conditioned hospitality suite, a meet and greet with the racing teams as well as a behind-the-scenes tour during the season finale of the Asian Series 2014.

Chu, who has always wanted to get into a racecar and even had dreams of being a racecar driver took a picture of his newly installed Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres.

“I have always wanted to go to the paddock and see the action up close. I wish to thank Michelin Malaysia for this once-in-a-lifetime privilege that I will never forget,” said Chu excitedly.

“Customer satisfaction is the top priority at Michelin. Bringing this VIP experience is exciting and enriching for our customers who are the foundation of everything we do,” said Michelin Malaysia managing director Beltran Yturriaga.

Michelin Malaysia is the commercial partner and the official tyre supplier of the 2014 Asian Le Mans Series.
