KUALA LUMPUR: MAN Truck and Bus (M) Sdn Bhd will be unveiling of one of its most robust TGS trucks at the Malaysia International Bus, Truck and Components Expo 2015.

The event will be held at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre at the Mines Resort, Seri Kembangan from May 14 to 16.

MAN will be introducing the TGS 41.480 8X4 rear tipper truck which is specially designed for usage in rough off-road conditions to transport ore and seams from open-cast mines.

This latest addition to the Malaysian market is the answer to businesses in the mining industry, geared for demanding heavy-duty transportation while delivering high payload and outstanding economy.

MAN Truck and Bus (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Hartmut Mueller said: “With the challenging economic climate and highly competitive environment, many businesses are concerned with the rising cost of operations. Fleet owners are now looking for solutions to reduce their vehicle running costs. In the MIBTC (expo), we hope to address this by showcasing comprehensive service programmes aimed at optimising the performance of customer vehicles in order to reduce their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).”

He said that TCO covers key cost factors of owning the vehicle throughout its life-cycle, and that fuel can take up as much as 30% of the TCO.

By reducing fuel consumption and achieving efficient driving, fleet owners can reduce their TCO.

Efficient driving can be achieved with optimised truck configuration and intensive driver training such as MAN’s ProfiDrive® Training programme.

Visitors to MAN’s booth at the MIBTC will get to learn more about ProfiDrive Training and how this can help get them up to 10% reduction in fuel consumption alone through better vehicle handling and economical driving techniques.

Mueller said: “For years, MAN vehicles are distinguished by their robustness, reliability, comfort and value for money.

“This year is particularly significant for us as we are celebrating MAN 100th anniversary in commercial vehicle construction.”
