MARii and Perodua in deal to create jobs, reskill 1,000 displaced workers

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) and Perodua today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create employment, and reskill 1,000 displaced workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
MARii also signed related agreements with Perodua Suppliers Association and Perodua Dealers Association.
Its chief executive officer, Datuk Madani Sahari, said the public-private deal would settle the immediate needs of the industry and help workers.
"We intend to approach sectors hit hardest by Covid-19 such as aviation, tourism and selected manufacturing businesses."
