PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 and RON95 petrol and diesel for the month of May remains unchanged.
The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry confirmed Thursday that fuel prices will remain at the current rates of RM1.95 per litre for RON95 petrol and diesel, and RM2.25 for RON97 petrol, inclusive of GST. RON95 petrol and diesel are not subject to GST.
Earlier this evening, the Petroleum Dealers Association of Malaysia expressed anxiety as the Government had yet to inform it of any change to pump prices.
Its deputy president, Datuk Zulkifli Mokti, told The Star Online that as of 8pm today, the association had not been updated on the matter.
“Nothing at all. There are a lot of rumours, unreasonable rumours. The talk about the price going up to 15 sen is unreasonable and it is impossible for it to increase by 15 sen."
