MCO: Volkswagen service centres open, make appointment first

By CARSIFU | 24 April 2020

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced that a majority of its service centres have received approvals to resume operations during the movement control order (MCO), which has been extended until May 12.

The approvals come from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, which has allowed the service centres to operate at limited capacity in accordance with approved guidelines.

Car owners are advised to contact their preferred service centre to make an appointment. Those who have previously signed up through the 'Welcome Back' aftersales campaign will receive priority. They include frontliners.

The centres will implement health and safety precautionary measures to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) with regular sanitisation of the premises.

Also included in the measures are safety screenings and briefings for staff, temperature checks, contactless vehicle acceptance, vehicle sanitisation (before and after) as well as pick-up and drop-off arrangement with selected dealers.
