KUALA LUMPUR: Medklinn International donated 60 units of its newly launched Autoplus air and surface sterilisers and each will be installed in a SJAM ambulance to help protect patients against cross-infections.
“We know that our new Autoplus effectively sterilises air and surfaces in vehicles, so what better way to mark our launch than to donate to SJAM ambulances. We learnt that there are some 60 SJAM ambulances in the Klang Valley, so we decided to put one unit in every ambulance,” said Medklinn managing director Peter Tham.
Celebrity actor Awal Ashaari was on hand to officially hand over the donation to the St John Ambulance of Malaysia’s (SJAM) Deputy Commander-in-Chief Datuk Sri Dr Haji Abu Hassan Asaari bin Abdullah at the Hap Seng Star Mercedes Benz Jalan Ipoh showroom.
According to Hassan, SJAM adopts a stringent sterilisation regime at the end of each work-day for every ambulance.
“When we say we sterilise, we mean rendering harmless all the pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and mould as well as allergens and pollutants in the air and on surfaces."
Each of the Autoplus air and sxurfance sterilisers retails for RM439 or RM599 for one with a docking station.
Medklinn claims that its products help to create healthier living spaces by sterilising air and surfaces via Active Oxygen deployment without the use of chemicals and require less maintenance.
