Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has new headquarters and training academy

PUCHONG: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM), today launched its new headquarters and training training academy in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, Selangor.

The new Wisma Mercedes-Benz headquarters is a RM74mil 118,000 sq ft facility that also houses its Training Academy.

“We have very exciting times ahead of us as we look forward to continue redefining the benchmark in the premium segment with the Best products, the Best service and the Best customer experience. As you can see, we take very seriously our motto of delivering ‘The Best or Nothing’ in every aspect of our business,” said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia president and CEO Dr Claus Weidner.

The new building is the first of its kind in the country, being a six-storey industrial facility that is also the first to have been accredited for being a green industrial building in Subang Jaya and having earned the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification.

Following overwhelming response for its training programmes, the MBM Training Academy has expanded its capacity to accommodate over 2,000 training days per year and has a fully operational workshop and state-of-the-art training rooms equipped as per the latest Daimler AG Global Training standard.

Only 28 seats are available per year and applicants with a minimum of SPM qualification or equivalent are able to apply.

To mark the launch of the MBM Training Academy director of global training Joerg Himmelmann handed over a Mercedes-Maybach S500 to MBM vice president (after sales) Heinrich Schromm.

The vehicle will be used by participants to fully experience all repair and diagnosis routines on all systems currently available in series production.

This further creates an opportunity to develop graduates of the programme with the highest level of diagnosis and fault-finding skills on the latest Mercedes-Benz technology.

Complementing the state-of-the-art equipment are the Daimler Certified Trainers who adhere to strict international standards.

As part of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s regional role, regular Train the Trainer events are arranged and conducted within the facility by Global Training, Stuttgart topic expert Trainers.

Trainers from Malaysia and all countries around the Asia Pacific region travel to upgrade their skills and knowledge, staying on the cutting edge of the automotive industry.

“Our new purpose built facility will enable us to consistently provide high levels of service, expertise and reliability to satisfy our customers, who expect the highest standards of excellence,” added Dr Weidner.
