KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has been appointed the official transport provider for the upcoming Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2015 (LIMA’15) with 450 of the luxury automaker’s passenger vehicles.
LIMA’15 will be taking place on the island of Langkawi from Mar 17 to 21 and the fleet of vehicles will be used to transport LIMA’s guests and delegates and will comprise of the Mercedes-Benz E350 Avantgarde to the latest E300 Hybrid (recently launched in January).
Other than the fleet of vehicles, the German automaker will also organise a drivers’ training session just before the event takes place to help all drivers familiarise themselves with the vehicles.
“In our maiden role as a transport provider, we look forward to welcoming and transporting guests from around the world who will be visiting LIMA,” said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia president and CEO Roland Folger.
The first LIMA exhibition was in 1991 and has grown rapidly.
For 2015, LIMA is expected to feature over 500 exhibitors with an estimated attendance of roughly 168,500 visitors over the five-day exhibition.
