Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Edition goes on sale in the UK

LONDON: The Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Edition goes on sale in the UK with three petrol variants.

In the UK, pricing for the SLC Final Edition range starts from £37,120 (RM205,000) for the 200 Final Edition and progresses on with the 200 Final Edition Premium, 300 Final Edition and finally ending with the AMG SLC 43 Final Edition at £49,855 (RM275,000).

The special model is based on the AMG Line which, as standard, includes AMG Styling bumpers at the front and rear, a sport suspension that lowers the car 10mm (de-selectable) as well as larger cross-drilled brakes and front callipers sporting the “Mercedes-Benz” logotype.

Inside, there's two-tone Nappa leather in black/silver pearl with alpaca grey topstitching on the seats, door trim and door centre panels among other areas.

The carbon-fibre look leather inserts can be found on the head restraints and the upper section of the seatbacks.

Other standard appointments of the Final Edition include black floor mats with embroidered logo, Airscarf neck-level heating, seat heating, and the Memory package for the seats, steering column and exterior mirrors.

Furthermore, the package includes lumbar support (four-way) for the driver and front passenger.

Available in an exclusive Sun Yellow paint job, the SLC 200 Final Edition (including the Premium variant) uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, producing 184hp and 300Nm, and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission - a nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox is available as an optional extra.

The same engine powers the SLC 300 Final Edition, but produces 245hp and 370Nm and gets managed by a 9G-TRONIC automatic as standard.

Other standard fitments include smartphone integration (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), Garmin satellite navigation, Parktronic, Memory package for power-adjustable seats and steering column), and a Harmon Kardon sound system (AMG 43 only).

For an additional £3,795 (RM21,000), the 200 Final Edition Premium adds on the likes of a reverse camera, Comand Online infotainment system, Mirror package, panoramic roof, LED Intelligent Light System and a wind deflector.

As for the range-topping AMG 43, it uses a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine generating 390hp and 520Nm of torque and with the 9G-TRONIC, it can sprint from 0 to 100kph in 4.7 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.
