Manufactured in Thailand, the tyres are the multi-purpose X Multi Z and the purpose-built X Multi D (for the drive wheels) and T (for the trailer) while retaining its affordability.
When compared to the Michelin XZE range, the company says that its three new tyres offer improved levels of driver safety at highway speeds, withstand heavier loads, has less rolling resistance for better fuel economy and are more durable.

According to the French tyre manufacturer, between the 295/80R22.5 and 275/70R22.5 sizes, a 10mm decrease in tyre profile allows for even better highway stability as well as help improve load times and volume gains thanks to the height reduction.

Tyre sizes available for the X Multi Z are 11R22.5, 12R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 275/70R22.5.

Furthermore, it possesses an additional full metallic ply for better resistance to crown impact / penetration and is available in sizes of 11R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 275/70R22.5

“The new Michelin X Multi range delivers improved performance across the board, without requiring any compromise in the key features of Michelin tyres, including safe, energy-efficient operation and lower total cost of ownership,” said Michelin Malaysia managing director Beltran Yturriaga.
