The British brand said that the F60 Countryman still retains that “fun-to-drive” character that's become synonymous with its name.
In the engine department, the three-cylinder petrol engine of the new Cooper Countryman and four-cylinder petrol engine of the Cooper S Countryman now include an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head along with a turbocharger that now sees boost pressure increased from 200 to 350 bar.
The F60 Countryman now comes with a host of changes and improvements with its exterior having the options of being coated in a choice of a new Piano Black, White Silver metallic or Sage Green metallic - all while sporting a new front grille and fitted with LEDs for its headlights, fog lights and Union Jack taillights as standard.
With a new set of lightweight alloys are now on the options list, the company has gone ahead and added an eight-speed Steptronic transmission as standard in the Cooper ALL4, Cooper S All4 and JCW ALL4 models.
Depending on model variant, the F60 is fitted with 17-inch Channel Spoke Black design alloys as standard that can be up-sized to 19-inch Turnstile Spoke two-tone wheels as an optional extra.
In the front-wheel driven spectrum, the Cooper now uses a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) standard while the Cooper S variant gets a seven-speed Sport DCT.
The options list has also been updated for the interior which sees the inclusion of a new five-inch colour screen, high gloss piano black central instrument, a new range of leather trims and interior surfaces.
The Cooper S and Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 models employ the use of Piano Black interior surfaces as standard for the cockpit and door bezels and are combined with accent strips in the variant British Oak dark.
The leather trim has been expanded to include Chesterfield Indigo Blue and Chesterfield Malt Brown for the seat upholstery options.
Also, a new version of the MINI Yours Interior Style options is now made available for all model variants as well as added functions within the MINI Connected system and an extension of options within the list of Original MINI Accessories.
