Mitsubishi Motors gets new CEO. Meet Tomoyuki Shinnishi

Shinnishi will take over from Oct 28.


PETALING JAYA: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced Tomoyuki Shinnishi as its new CEO from Oct 28.

Shinnishi has around 20 years' experience in the automotive industry. He joined Mitsubishi Corporation, Tokyo, in 1997 and has held a range of leadership positions in the company. He has served the company in Indonesia from 2001 to 2008, and his last posting was back in Tokyo where he has been heading the sales and marketing for the Russian market since 2012.

Yang Won-Chul, the outgoing chief executive, will report back to Mitsubishi head office in Tokyo. Yang has been heading the local operations since February 2015 following the death of previous CEO Tetsuya Oda, who was killed in a road accident while jogging in Kuala Lumpur in December 2014.
