The Japanese brand is taking aim at active lifestylers with its new Triton VGT AT Premium variant that's priced on-the-road with GST at RM116,300, which comes with new 17-inch wheels, leather seats, and reverse camera with guidelines.
The new variant is positioned between the recently introduced Triton VGT AT GL, costing RM103,800, and the range-topping Triton VGT Adventure - which gets a RM3,910 price reduction to RM126,990 and now has a newly designed sports bar.
All Triton models are imported as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit from Mitsubishi Motors’ global production hub in Thailand and are covered by a five-year or 200,000km warranty, while the Triton Quest gets a five-year or 100,000km warranty instead.
The Triton is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine with Variable Valve Timing technology and a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) producing 181PS
and 430Nm of torque.
Also new to the family is a limited-edition variant of the locally-assembled ASX Adventure SUV in 2WD form that will only have 60 examples made.
It will be priced at RM123,988 while draped in Sporty Blue Metallic and accompanied by a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
Externally, it will feature a new front grille, rear bumper garnish, side door and fender garnish as well as new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin gets aluminium pedals, air vent rings and a Sporty Blue lining accent on the door trim and leather seats.
In conjunction with the year-end holidays, MMM is offering customers cash bonuses of up to RM11,000 for selected ASX variants and RM8,000 for selected Triton variants for bookings and registrations made before Dec 31.
