TOKYO:  A new Mitsubishi concept car will make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The compact concept car is  a "declaration of intent" for Mitsubishi's future directions.

It is envisioned as a 2WD plug-in hybrid electric crossover.

The new SUV concept was designed to achieve top-of-class reduced CO2 emissions through its light, compact, and high-performance plug-in hybrid electric vehicle system.

The concept car's exterior will express "the powerful driving of a dynamic urban crossover with a high-output electric motor, through a refined, athletic form factor characterised by edgy side character lines."

Not much else is known of the car at this stage although it's believed to be positioned below the Outlander PHEV SUV

Meanwhile, organisers of the 85th Geneva show have announced its theme as "A future-oriented attitude: powerful, fast and dynamic”. The show is scheduled to run from March 5-15.
