FRANKFURT: The new Hyundai Elantra and Tucson recently won accolades from the prestigious iF Design Awards jury.

The cars won the iF Design Award 2016 in the Product discipline, under the Automobiles-Vehicles-Bikes category.

The awards were won by Hyundai following a rigorous judging process, involving almost 5,000 entries from 53 countries.

Organised by iF International Forum Design GmbH, the awards recognise outstanding design across various disciplines and categories.

For more than 60 years, iF Design Awards have been acknowledged as a symbol of design excellence.

This further validates Hyundai’s continuous strive for design and quality excellence, as its cars won iF Design awards for three consecutive years, with Genesis awarded in 2014 and i20 in 2015.

The new Elantra embraces Hyundai’s Modern Premium brand direction, and has a large hexagonal grille paired with slim and sporty headlights for an energetic look.

Meanwhile, the new Tucson compact SUV has a bold and athletic presence with refined, flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille.
