More places to get Euro5 diesel

PETALING JAYA: Euro5 diesel will be more accessible when nine BHPetrol stations start selling them across the Klang Valley from tomorrow.

BHPetrol started with one during the launch of the higher grade fuel last Thursday and has subsequently rolled it out to more stations in its network.  It's expected to raise that number to 20 by the end of September.

BHPetrol said tests showed that usage of Euro5 instead of Euro2M diesel resulted in improved vehicle performance. Euro2M diesel will continue to be sold alongside the Euro5 fuel. Both grades are B7 blends, meaning it's a mix of 7% palm oil (palm methyl ester) and 93% diesel.

BHPetrol managing director Tan Kim Thiam had said last week that Negri Sembilan and Malacca could be next to receive the Euro5 diesel supplies.

BHPetrol charted history as the first to introduce Euro5 grade diesel in Malaysia.

The company would also launch a new Euro 4M grade petrol on Sept 1.
