The lucky winner, Mohamad Ariff bin Mohamad Borhanud, 27, from Kuala Lumpur, drove away with a mint-condition Proton X70, 1.8 TGDI Executive 2WD (2019), worth over RM100,000, the highest value car giveaway by myTukar, to date.
The car giveaway contest ran over a period of two months, from Dec 1 last year to Jan 9.
The winner was chosen via a lucky draw on Facebook Live.
Ariff said he was excited and overwhelmed when he found out that he won.
“It definitely turned my entire day around. When I was announced as the winner, I was in shock! With my budget and financial planning, I was just thinking about buying a simple Proton Satria Neo, and did not even consider the possibility that I could win a car as grand as the Proton X70,” he said.
Ariff’s new car, as with all other vehicles sold under myTukar, has undergone an extensive full service to ensure its safety and quality is top notch. The vehicle has also passed through the online used car marketplace's full car inspection, to detect for any defects.
