KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Quest Sdn Bhd has ceased to be the Chevrolet franchise holder but will continue to provide warranty and aftersales service for existing Chevrolet customers until a new Chevrolet distributor is appointed by General Motors (GM).

Naza Quest would stop selling Chevrolets from tomorrow.

While sales of new Chevrolet vehicles will be suspended, the majority of Chevrolet dealerships will remain open during this transition to meet the aftersales needs of customers.

GM Southeast Asia general director Vanchana Unakul said GM and Chevrolet are still committed to selling cars in Malaysia.

“Chevrolet is here to stay in Malaysia and we will be announcing our new distributor partner as soon as possible.”

Naza Corporation Holdings (Automotive Group) group CEO Datuk Samson Anand George said the group would leverage on the strengths of its remaining line-up of four and two-wheel brands and explore other business opportunities to expand market share.

The Naza group has been the Chevrolet distributor for eight years.
