Naza to reward Paralympians with Kia Sportage and condo unit

Update: Malaysian gold medalists at the Rio Paralympics 2016 will now receive a residential suite from Naza Corporation Holdings on top of the Sportage. The RM350,000 Trion 888 at Equine Park, Seri Kembangan, will be completed by the end of 2017.

 

PETALING JAYA: Naza Corporation Holdings will reward the Malaysian gold medallist with a Kia Sportage for creating history at the Rio Paralympics in Brazil.

"I am very proud of our Malaysian Paralympians who will be bringing their gold medals home.

"Being a homegrown company, Naza will be rewarding our homegrown Malaysian athletes who win gold at the Rio Paralympics 2016 with an all-new Kia Sportage each," said its chairman and chief executive officer Nasarudin Nasimuddin in a statement today.

Nasarudin, who is also the president of the Paralympics Council of Malaysia, said the athletes' achievements in Rio had not only inspired other athletes, but all Malaysians as well.

"Our Malaysian Paralympians have showed their mettle despite their odds. This is how we show that Malaysia Boleh!" he said.

The first gold medal was won by Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi in the 100m T36 (celebral palsy) event, while Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli won the gold medal with a new world record in the men's shot put F20 (intellectual disability) final.
