KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Kia Malaysia, the official local distributor of KIA vehicles, has introduced a new range-topping Grand Carnival 2.2D SX multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) variant that comes with added external and interior upgrades.

Priced at RM188,888 on-the-road with GST without insurance, the new SX variant relegates the EX variant into discontinuity (with immediate effect) and is available in four colour options of Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Blackberry (new) and Silky Silver (only for SX).

The introduction of the new SX variant will see the EX variant announced last year being discontinued with immediate effect.



A 190hp / 440Nm 2.2-litre (2,199cc) CRDi turbo-diesel engine, managed by a six-speed automatic transmission, still powers the front wheels as do the front MacPherson struts with rear multi-link suspension setup for ride and handling.

In terms of upgrades, the new range-topper sports up-sized 19-inch (+1-inch) Chrome Sputtering Type alloy wheels, Black High Glossy Mesh Type material for the 'Tiger Nose' grille and wrap-around High Intensity Discharge headlamps with Diamond Glitter Type Positioning Lamp and Auto Levelling System.

Inside, the seats have been upholstered in burgundy two-tone leather with wood grain garnish, larger 7.0-inch TFT LCD Supervision Cluster and Rear Entertainment System with Dual Monitor screens and WiFi connectivity.

Another inclusion for greater practicality and individual comfort are the eight-way powered seats with four-way lumbar support for the driver’s seat, while an electronic switch allows owners the convenience of configuring the second and third row seats.
