KUALA LUMPUR: The new Renault Koleos is available for booking ahead of its launch in September.
The introductory price for the SUV is RM172,800 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM116,800 in Langkawi (on-the-road inclusive of GST, without insurance and for private registration).
Besides the blend of robust SUV cues, the all-new Renault Koleos also offers the refinement, comfort and premium features associated with larger flagship saloon cars.
Key exterior and interior highlights of the car include muscular exterior lines; full LED headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also promises a refined and spacious interior. It comes with an instrument display with 7-inch TFT colour screen and ambient lighting, both of which are customisable with a palette of lighting hues to suit the mood of driver and his passengers. It is fitted with equipment shared with other high-end Renault models, such as the 8.7-inch R-LINK 2 infotainment system. In addition, safety features include blind spot warning and six airbags.
The Koleos uses a 2.5-litre petrol engine mated to a new X-Tronic automatic transmission, producing 169hp and peak torque of 226Nm. The engine is said to be responsive at low and mid-range speeds, with 200Nm torque available from as low as 1,800rpm.
As a global car, the Koleos has been created to be marketed on every continent, which means its equipment specification is adapted to suit the different climates and parts of the world where it will be driven.
Like all Renault vehicles, the upcoming Koleos comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage. The warranty is backed by Renault and is not undertaken by insurance companies, which means terms and conditions as well as parts covered are consistent from the first year of ownership to the end of the warranty period.
