SERI KEMBANGAN: TC Euro Cars, the sole franchise holder of Renault vehicles in Malaysia, has unveiled its future offering of its new Megane GT with a preview of what is to come.
The GT is touted to offer a whole new world of driving thrills and sportiness to as many motorists and car enthusiasts as possible by providing an intermediate performance road car offering to the all-out high performance credentials of Megane R.S..
The technologies they have adopted, including the 4CONTROL system (four-wheel steering)that allows the rear wheels to turn up to 2.7-degrees in the opposite direction of the front wheels at speeds of up to 60kph and 80kph when in Sport mode.
Beyond those speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, up to 1.0-degree.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine providing 205PS at 6,000rpm and 280Nm of torque from 2,400rpm onwards, while managed by a seven-speed EDC dual-clutch automatic transmission.
In terms of fit and finish, the Megane GT comes with two chrome-plated exhaust tips, a rear diffuser inspired from the world of Formula 1, LED front headlights, GT and Renault Sport badges and 17-inch wheels.
Also fitted is an eight-speaker 3D Arkamys sound system keyless entry with push-start button and star, stop and walk away function, automatic wipers and headlights, follow-me-home lighting, reverse camera, automatic dual-zone climate controls, aluminium pedals, and cruise-control with speed-limiter. and star-stop function.
FOr safety, there's six airbags, hill-start assist, electronic stability programme with traction control, anti-lock braking system, emergency brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution.
