YOKOHAMA: Nissan is among the big-name car makers making a beeline to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month.

What we can expect to see at its stand is a longer-range LEAF called the E-Plus, which will have a larger 60 kWh battery that will allow the electric car to travel over 360km compared to the current 240km.

The Japanese car maker said in a brief statement that it will also highlight "a new technology platform to 'See the Invisible', creating a new driving experience through connected worlds.

In addition, an all-new, twin electric motor, all-wheel drive Nissan LEAF NISMO RC racing machine will make its US debut at the consumer show.

CES is an annual trade show that showcases more than 4,500 exhibiting companies, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content and technology delivery systems.

CES 2019 will run from Jan 8-11.
