We tried the RM50,800 Bezza 1.3L auto (Advance) first, with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 1.3-litre engine that outputs 94hp at 6,000rpm and 121Nm at 4,000rpm.
The car has a perky and get-up-and-go quality, and we quickly hit speeds of 110kph and above.
The Bezza was also a composed creature when we tackled track curves, which are similar to Malaysian highway curves, in a sporty manner.
The test track also had bumpy and irregular-surfaced stretches to simulate bad roads, and we had no issue with the comfort level afforded by the well-tuned suspension.
As for the RM37,300 Bezza 1.0L manual, which has a 5-speed manual tranmission, we found it to be have a fun-to-drive quality with decisive gear engagement, and even more perkier acceleration.
The 1.0-litre powertrain feels quite refined, and in fact, we hardly took notice of our high speeds when attacking track curves.
