KOTA KINABALU: Perodua is on track to achieve its sales target of 208,000 units this year, says Perodua president Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh.

He was also confident Perodua would do relatively well in after-sales service and production this year.

"If all ends well [by year-end], Perodua will continue to be the most preferred automobile brand in Malaysia for the 10th consecutive year," he told reporters after giving away prizes to winners of the Perodua Media Fun Race 2015 here on Saturday.

During the ceremony, two welfare homes in Kota Kinabalu received generous contributions under Perodua's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for the community.

Aminar Rashid presented a mock cheque of RM10,000 each to Rumah Kanak-Kanak Kota Kinabalu and Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim Yayasan Al-Sakinah Papar.

He said the contribution was Perodua's way of thanking Malaysians for their support over the years.
