RAWANG: Perodua clarifies that it does not engage a third-party in its hiring process, in trying to deal with misleading information being circulated by a WhatsApp account and website.
On June 24, the local carmaker came to be aware of a website containing the company's current employment vacancies, however, the wages and benefits being offered had been altered.
The company has already sought the help of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to identify the owner(s) of the website and WhatsApp account, and to remove the misleading information.
The posts are still available on the website.
"We will not hesitate to take legal action against those who have caused this unnecessary confusion to the public if deemed appropriate," said Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh.
