KUALA LUMPUR – Petron Malaysia has expanded e-wallet services at its stations in a collaboration with Malaysia’s leading e-wallet, Boost to enable cashless payments.

Petron Malaysia Head of Retail and Commercial Business Choong Kum Choy said Boost would create more payment options that are convenient and secure for Petron customers, besides allowing rewards and promotions.

"Public acceptance and use of e-wallets is increasing rapidly, and our service stations are more than ready to fuel this demand”, he said.

Boost chief executive officer Mohd Khairil Abdullah said the cashless payment programme with Petron would further encourage and give more opportunities for Malaysians to experience the convenience of going cashless as part of their day-to-day spending.

Petron partnered with GHL Systems Bhd, a leading payments company in Malaysia and Asean to introduce Boost at almost all Petron service stations nationwide.

The collaboration also enables payments via all leading domestic Malaysian e-wallets such as Goodkredit, Grabpay, Maybank QRPAY, MBSB, Mcash and Touch n'Go as well as
cross border e-wallets (Alipay and Unionpay) which are presently accepted in Malaysia.

GHL Group CEO Danny Leong said the unified single payment acceptance device within Petron's network could be easily extended to include other forms of cashless channels when they become available in the market.

In conjunction with its collaboration with Boost, Petron Malaysia is rewarding customers through the Spend & Win SURE ONG! campaign.

“We are always looking for better ways to give the most rewarding and Fueling Happy experience to our loyal customers. This campaign underscores our commitment in
giving customers more value for money and better returns,” said Choong.

From now until Jan 31, with a minimum spend of RM50 using Boost, users get RM5 in cashback, limited to two cashbacks per user.

In addition, with each RM40 spent at Petron stations, Petron Miles members and Boost users will earn one entry to the lucky draw contest.

To participate in the lucky draw, all transactions must be swiped with a validly registered Petron Miles card.

Prizes and Boost cashback worth up to RM1,000,000 consist 15 grand prize winners of RM8,888 cash each, while 150 first prize winners will receive RM888 cash.

There will be 500 consolation prize winners who receive 18,888 Petron Miles points each.
