It's range topping 508 GT comes with a 2.2-litre turbodiesel HDI engine with an output of 203bhp and 450Nm of torque and now officially costs RM201,888 on-the-road with GST and insurance.
The 508SW THP station wagon and THP sedan are priced at RM183,888 and 173,888 respectively on-the-road with GST and insurance.
All 508 variants are equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The new 508 features a new vertically oriented front grille with the Peugeot lion in the centre including a revamped, horizontal bonnet and redesigned bumpers.
Another design element is the signature LED headlamps, along with LEDs for daytime running lights, fog lamps with cornering assist and the rear light cluster now with its three ‘claws’ effect.
Within the cabin, there’s a seven-inch high definition multifunction touchscreen on the centre dashboard and controls for navigation, telephone, vehicle configuration, multimedia, driving aids, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and CD/MP3 player.
It is also connected to a JBL HiFi 10-speaker with a subwoofer, Arkarmys 3D sound processor and Peugeot Jukebox internal hard drive.
The driver now gets a Head-Up Display screen with a coloured display for driving and navigation information.
Safety-wise, the new 508 comes with six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP) featuring anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist (EBA), anti-skid regulation (ASR) and dynamic stability control (DSC).
Other features include hill start assist, one touch power windows with anti-pinch and the Blind Spot Information System (BLISS) among others and has also earned a full five-star European New Car Assessment Programme (EuroNCAP) rating.
The new 508 comes in five colours – Pearl White, Bourrasque Blue, Pine Brown, Artense Grey and Harla Grey.
