Porsche Macan base price starts at RM415K

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the authorised importer of Porsche vehicles in Malaysia, today announced the new entry-level Porsche Macan base price starts from RM 415,000.

The price includes all applicable duties excluding registration fee, road tax and insurance as well as a four-year warranty, complimentary service and maintenance package.

Recently introduced in May (Refreshed Porsche Macan arrives) , the enhanced Macan brings with it an extensive range of equipment as standard at the the entry-level, such as the seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox, latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and three-zone automatic climate control.

There's also lane departure warning system, power steering plus, park assist (front and rear), Porsche entry and drive, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPM) and anti-theft protection (ultrasonic interior surveillance).

Available as an option for the LED headlights are the Porsche dynamic light system Plus (PDLS Plus), which continuously adjusts the headlight level in keeping with the traffic ahead and any oncoming traffic.

Under the hood lies a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine providing 252hp (+15hp) from 5,000 to 6,800rpm and 370Nm of torque from 1,600 to 4,500rpm - allowing it to race from 0-100kph in 6.7 seconds (6.5 seconds with optional Sport Chrono Package) before reaching a top speed of 229kph.

For sure-footedness, the 1,770kg Porsche Macan installed its Traction Management (PTM) for the active all-wheel drive system. An air suspension system with levelling control including the PASM with adaptive dampers is available as an option.

For etertainment, the latest Porsche Communication Management system (PCM) has been installed as standard with a high-resolution 7.0-inch touchscreen providing smartphone-like ooperation and comes with Bluetooth connectivity, USB and SD card interfaces as well as Apple CarPlay.
