PETALING JAYA: Proton's latest 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre has officially opened its doors in Section 13 here after having moved its entire 3S operations from its initial Old Klang Road premises.

The new facility, operated by Regal Motors Holdings Sdn Bhd, covers a land area of 1.2 acres and is located along the automotive belt at 7B, Jalan Bersatu 13/4, of Section 13.




“To serve our customers better, we have decided to open a new 3S outlet here in Section 13. We believe the location is ideal for people to access out outlet. Moreover, the area here is larger and thus this will enable us to provide better facilities for (our) customers’ convenience,” said Regal Motors Holdings managing director Philip How.

For sales, customers can visit the new centre from Monday to Friday (9am to 7pm), Saturday (9am to 5pm) or on Sunday and public holidays (10am to 5pm), while service is from Monday to Saturday only (8.30am to 5.30pm).




Furthermore, it is manned by 13 sales advisers and 11 service employees - consisting of a service manager, two service advisers, a customer relations executive, six technicians and a job controller.

For convenience, the facility has been equipped with free Wifi, laptop charging stations, children’s play area, a lounge area and a viewing window to allow customers to peer into the service area that’s equipped with 12 service bays with six hoists and a car wash area.




The company also has a 1.5-acre standalone body and paint centre on Jalan PJS 7/23 in Bandar Sunway.

“We are optimistic that we will be able to turn things around in Proton, and part of the outlet upgrade and enhancements is to bring about a positive image to the brand starting with the establishment of one-stop-centres nationwide,” said Proton Edar CEO Abdul Rashid Musa.




As at Aug 20, the local car maker announced that it has achieved 88% of outlets ready for upgrades to 3S and 4S centres, and 96 outlets have currently been approved for upgrades.

At present, Proton is offering a savings of RM1,500 for the Saga, RM3,000 for the Persona and RM4,000 for the Iriz or Ertiga.
