This recognition not only offers opportunities to support the largest multi-sports event in Asia - to be held in Hangzhou in China's Zhejiang province from Sept 10 to 25.
The exposure is expected to further enhance prominence for Malaysia’s national car brand in markets across Asia.
All Proton’s current models - the Proton Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga, X50 and X70 - will carry the title of Official Vehicle of the games.
As one of the supporters of the games, Proton is calling on all Malaysians to support the games and national athletes who are aiming to deliver their best in Asian Games.
To achieve this, Proton is rolling out a nationwide campaign to drive excitement in the run-up to the event, by celebrating the passion for sports among the people and highlighting the role of sports in nurturing unity, besides promoting fitness and sports activities in line with this year’s games slogan - "Heart to Heart, @Future”.

Proton deputy chief executive officer Roslan Abdullah said the company wanted to offer new ways to enjoy a more enriching 19th Asian Games experience through its campaign.
“Asia’s largest multi-sports event will be an important platform for Proton, and our aim is to connect people from all walks of life to the excitement of both sports and our cars," said Roslan.
The campaign will kick off with the “PROTON Ignite Your Life contest” where customers stand a chance to win prizes when they book and register any Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga, X50 or X70 from Feb 1 to July 31.
Prizes include the Grand Prize of an exclusive trip to Hangzhou to experience the games live, as well as monthly prizes such as e-vouchers for sporting products.
