With the discount, the Saga can be bought for under RM30,000.
It is also promising big savings on other models in conjunction with the festive season.
“There has never been a better time than now to own a Proton, especially with the zero-rated GST in force. Customers could potentially save between 12% and 18%, depending on model," said Proton sales and marketing vice-president Abdul Rashid Musa.
Proton will also be offering a free 20-point inspection at all its outlets nationwide, from now until June 15. The 20-point inspection will cover areas like brake and clutch pedal operations, all switches, lighting and indicators inside instrument panel, safety belts, battery checks, wiper blades, engine oil, and coolant.
The 20-point check is also available at three Petronas stations located in Jerteh, Terengganu; Sungai Petani, Kedah; and Kluang, Johor. Proton service teams would be stationed there until June 15.
