KUCHING: PROTON Prevé which has previously garnered 5-star ratings in the Australasian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP) and Asean NCAP, has now added another award to its list of achievements by being named, Winner in the Medium Family Adult Occupant Protection category, beating fellow C-segment nominees, Honda CIVIC and Toyota Corolla ALTIS. The announcement of the award was made by ASEAN NCAP at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards in Kuching, Sarawak on 27 August 2014.

"This award is a strong testimony of how much PROTON has grown throughout the years. PROTON has invested a lot in technology and enhancing our talents to perform beyond our comfort zone. It isn't easy to come to this stage especially with the perception that Malaysian-made products are of inferior quality. Winning this award from ASEAN NCAP puts us in a better position in changing the mindset of the public," said Dato’ Abdul Harith Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON Holdings Berhad.

Besides its high standard of safety, the Prevé is one of the global cars of PROTON that offers the most well-equipped and advanced technological features in terms of performance, styling, driving dynamics and sophistication.

"As we have always mentioned, PROTON continuously work on improving our R&D and testing, to ensure that our cars are not only of good quality but to also have safety features of international standards. We mean what we say and we shall keep doing better," Dato' Harith added.

"We in PROTON are proud of this achievement because we did it all by Malaysians, for Malaysians. Please come to our showrooms to test drive our cars," Dato' Harith added further.

The public is invited to test drive Proton cars in all PROTON showrooms nationwide. In conjunction with the Merdeka celebration this year, promotions are ongoing with up to RM8,000 rebate, 3 years free service and attractive interest rates starting at 2.95%.
