PSA Group installing 500 charging stations worldwide, it's 70% done

PARIS: The PSA Group has announced it is installing nearly 500 charging stations at 49 of its sites in 12 countries.

The implementation and management of the terminals will be provided by the group's two partners for this project: Izivia and Total EV.

The French automaker makes vehicles under the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall brands, with Peugeot being the largest.

The implementation of electric charging points started in 2019 and will continue until the end of 2021. To date, 365 stations have already been installed and operational.

On each European site, the group enables employees to have easy access to EV charging points.

These 7kW wall terminals allow recharging at a price comparable to those on public networks.

This initiative supports the group's electrified offensive launched in 2019. The group has already launched 15 electrified models in Europe. They include plug-in hybrids for the Peugeot 3008 and 508, and battery electric cars such as the Peugeot e-208 and Citroen DS 3 Crossback E-Tense.

The PSA Group is currently in merger talks with Fiat Chrysler. If successful, the two companies would merge to become Stellantis, the world's fourth-largest carmaker.
