PETALING JAYA: You may have heard that Kia had recently been voted one of the highest valued brands in the world.

According to Interbrand, the Korean carmaker's value has grown 6% in the last year to US$6.68bil (RM28.19bil).

In that time, a number of Kia models have come by CarSifu's way with each of them having their own unique strengths. Over the last year or so, we've managed to test the Cerato Koup, Sportage, Rio hatch, Rio sedan and the Grand Carnival.

The recently launched Kia Grand Carnival is a handsome endeavor by the Korean carmaker that arrives as a stylish drive with its LED daytime running lights for character, power-sliding doors for convenience and that fun-to-drive handling characteristic.

CarSifu was invited to test the latest Sportage in and around the sands of the once backwater desert-edge Bedouin settlement of Dubai, to which the world's tallest building - the 830m Burj Khalifa, calls home.

Within the compact dimensions, the Cerato Koup is a surprisingly spacious interior that provides comfort, convenience and well-placed cupholders.
