The Velar is priced at RM529,800 (Velar P250) and RM588,800 (Velar R-Dynamic P250).
Prices are inclusive of 6% GST and excludes road tax, registration and insurance.
Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia is still firming up pricing for the Velar R-Dynamic P380 which has a all-aluminium 380ps/450Nm 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine.
Both the Velar P250 variants are powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with twin-scroll turbocharger, that develops 250ps at 5,550rpm and maximum torque of 365Nm from 1,200rpm to 4,500rpm.
The Velar P250 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds and return an impressive 7.6-litres per 100km.

The mid-size Velar is positioned between the Range Rover Evoque and Sport.
The Velar is available in eight exterior colours - Fuji White, Yulong White, Corris Grey, Santorini Black, Kaikoura Stone, Firenze Red, Silicon Silver and Carpathian Grey.
There are five interior colour options of Ebony/Ebony, Acorn, Vintage Tan/Ebony, Eclipse/Ebony and Light Oyster/Ebony.
The Velar also has unique flush deployable door handles, which deploy when the vehicle is unlocked and retract once the vehicle is locked.
These door handles contribute to the low drag coefficient of only 0.32, making it the most aerodynamically-efficient Land Rover ever produced.
Standard across all three Velar variants are a smooth-shifting ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, a Terrain Response system, Dynamic Stability Control, Hill Descent Control, Matrix LED headlights with Signature daytime running lights, automatic headlights, powered Gesture tailgate, 10-way powered seats, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, push-start ignition, and a 825W Meridian Surround Sound system with 17 speakers and subwoofer.
Also standard is the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system which features two 10-inch high-definition touchscreens integrated seamlessly behind secret-until-lit surfaces.
The Velar P250 has 20-inch rims while both the R-Dynamic variants have 21-inch rims.
Meanwhile, a unique optional item is Kvadrat highly durable wool-blend premium textile contrasted with Suede cloth, for those who prefer this option over the perforated grained leather for the P250 variant or perforated leather with suede cloth (depending on interior colour choice) in both R-Dynamic variants.
