Recall for Nissan Grand Livina, X-Gear and Navara

KUALA LUMPUR: A recall campaign extension has been announced in Malaysia for the Nissan Grand Livina, X-Gear and Navara to replace the Takata front passenger airbag inflator module.

These include 83,263 units of the locally assembled Nissan Grand Livina and X-Gear, produced from April 2007 to December 2014.

Also affected are 14,953 units of imported and locally assembled Nissan Navara (D40) pick-up truck, produced from December 2006 to December 2014.

The recall was announced by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the sole distributor and assembler of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, together with Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Centre (TCEAS).

Customers of the affected Nissan vehicles will be notified by letter through TCEAS and are advised to call the nearest TCEAS outlet for an appointment.

Selected TCEAS outlets have extended its operation hours and are now open 365 days.

All labour and replacement parts for this recall campaign will be at no cost to owners.
