PETALING JAYA: With Honda Malaysia grabbing much of the media limelight with its flurry of new model launches in recent months, the attention will now surely turn to the Toyota camp, as its distributor aims to showcase again next month the much anticipated compact crossover - the C-HR.

With sinuous curves and lines inspired no doubt by Lexus, this is one of the most exciting products in years to come out of UMW Toyota Motor.

Toyota is already inviting the public to register their interest in the C-HR via its local website toyota.com.my. The site also teased the vehicle features such as the fact it will be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine mated to a CVT.

The luxurious interior, side mirror puddle lights, follow-me-home headlights, hidden rear door handles, rear cross traffoc alert, colour options were also highlighted.

The C-HR will be previewed to the public at various locations in the Klang valley and Penang in August. The launch should come anytime soon after that.

The C-HR first broke cover locally when it was previewed at a Shah Alam auto event in May. In Japan, the model has been available in four grades since last year, priced from under RM100,000.
