KUALA LUMPUR: Renault has refreshed its Fluence sedan in Malaysia with the marque’s current dynamic-looking grille styling that features a large Renault logo with long horizontal strip.
Launched at the Renault roadshow in Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur today, the Fluence is now available in two variants of entry-level Expression (RM108,888 on-the-road without insurance) and full-specs Dynamique (RM119,888).
Powering the Fluence is a Renault Nissan Alliance developed 2.0-litre engine with 143bhp and 195Nm of torque mated to a X-tronic continuously variable transmission.
Besides a new restyled sporty grille, standard features for the Fluence include six airbags, 7-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, reverse camera, cruise control with speed limiter, automatic headlights and wipers, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability system, keyless entry system and five-year manufacturer warranty with unlimited mileage.
Other features include dual zone automatic air-conditioner with rear vents, Bluetooth connectivity and jack sockets.
The Dynamique variant gets addition items such as leather seats, daytime running lights, LED taillights, 17-inch Akihiro two-tone alloy wheels, free pick-up for service and five-year free maintenance package.
TC Euro Cars Sdn Bhd director and chief executive officer Kuan Kim Luen said the Fluence has the best-in-class features, safety and warranty/maintenance package for the local C-segment vehicle market.
He said the Fluence offers more value compared to a Japanese or a Korean vehicle of similar class.
Renault Asean operations vice-president Serge Yoccoz, who was also at the launch said the company is planning to introduce the new Clio GT hatchback and the Captur compact sports utility vehicle in Malaysia in the second half of the year.
“We are constantly updating our line-up with new and refreshed models to keep our cars exciting.”
Yoccoz said the French car maker intends to introduce at least a new model in Malaysia every year.
“As TC Euro Cars have built up a following for the Renault brand, we should keep the momentum going by introducing new models and innovative services,” he added.
