RessQ60min sends car technicians to you 24/7

KUALA LUMPUR: With mobile car service technicians, RessQ60min aims to ease the life of car owners by offering 24-hour onsite normal and emergency car servicing.

"RessQ60min operates 24 hours a day, unlike traditional service centres that only operate till 6pm,” said RessQ60min founder and chief executive officer Suman Mathevan.

The mobile delivery platform provides significant time savings for consumers and is initially focused on tyres, engine oil, batteries, brake pads, car wash, car and towing (this represents the bulk of independent repair shop revenues).

“RessQ60min also provides emergency services, including for battery problems and even flat tyres," said Suman.

"RessQ60min’s battery change service now comes with a nationwide battery warranty. We will be able to provide support should you need a replacement, no matter wherever you are. RessQ60min aims to provide assistance within 60 minutes."

"Furthermore, the dispatched technician or call centre will continuously update their current position to the car owner every 15 minutes to assure the car owner of their imminent arrival. Presently, with our partnership with MyAssist, there are 82 certified service technicians and over 400 panels in peninsular Malaysia, with car battery and tyre replacements being our most popular services," he says.

Other services offered by RessQ60min include changing brake pads, lubrication oil, jump-start services, towing and car wash.

Not having a physical shop, and using portable tools and battery-based power sources, are what make RessQ60min flexible.

Also, Suman says not needing to pay rent for a physical service centre means a reduction of service fees by between 10% and 15%.

It also allows outstation/dispatching charges to be waived.

A car wash service is targeted to be launched next month, with charges as low as RM18 (depending on the car’s model).

The car wash service will not need a water source, as it utilises the dry-cleaning method.

This means customers need not worry about a messy lawn or carpark caused by the service.

Regarding tyres, there are 15 brands for the customer to choose from based on their budget and requirements.

Currently, RessQ60min’s 24-hour helpline has gone live, and a mobile application is scheduled for release in July.
