New features include Park Assist Pilot which allows semi-automated parking, as the car can steer itself while the driver handles the gearbox and controls the car’s speed.

Park Assist Pilot uses front, rear and side-facing ultrasonic sensors for parking manoeuvres.

Another new feature is Lane Keeping Aid which helps the driver to stay in the lane, by applying extra steering torque to the steering column when the car gets close to a lane marking and is about to leave the lane.

The system is active at speeds between 65 and 200kph.

As a first step, Lane Keeping Aid applies gentle steering wheel torque to help the driver steer back onto the intended course.

If the car leaves the lane, a distinctive warning is delivered via a haptic vibration in the steering wheel.
