KUALA LUMPUR: Three lucky motorists had a rejuvenating experience as grand prize winners of Shell Helix’s #cleanmyengine online contest.

The three, namely Faudzina Khamis, K’ng Choo Wei and Noel Kuppan – each won a premium auto detailing package worth RM1,500 at Regal Valet in Bangsar, a 195-minute Sultana Hammam spa package worth RM550 at Hammam Bangsar Village and a 4-litre pack of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 with PurePlus Technology worth RM235.

At a recent prize giving ceremony, K’ng was represented by his wife, Lee Woei Lin.

The contest, which was held from Dec 29, 2014 till Jan 29, 2015, also gave away 10 consolation prizes comprising a 4-litre pack of Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 with PurePlus Technology worth RM235 and an exclusive PurePlus Technology cube containing actual base oil made from natural gas.

According to Shell Helix brand manager Joanna Lean, the contest succeeded in reaching out to discerning car owners and amplified the superior cleansing abilities of the flagship Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology 5W-40 fully synthetic motor oil.

“Imagine a motor oil made from natural gas that is so pure that it cleanses your car inside out so that you can enjoy an optimum driving experience,” she said.

Shell Helix’s revolutionary PurePlus Technology produces a clearer base oil with virtually none of the impurities found in crude oil.

The pure, synthetic base oil from natural gas, delivers higher levels of cleansing and protection.

It also provides superior wear and corrosion protection, and helps to provide superior resistance to oil degradation beyond the latest industry standards, even at the longest manufacturer-recommended oil drain intervals.

For drivers, all of this helps to extend engine life and reduce maintenance costs.

Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology has received OEM approvals from manufacturers including Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Ford, Honda, General Motors, Chrysler, Hyundai and BMW.
