The new range is touted by the oil and gas multinational to provide the required specifications demanded by a select group of car engine manufacturers.
The products are Shell Helix Ultra Professional ABB 5W- 40 and Shell Helix HX7 Professional SN 5W-30.
BMW Malaysia recently became the first premium car makers in Malaysia to utilise Shell's new engine lubricants in its oil service programme which uses the Shell Helix Ultra Professional ABB 5W-40.
These fully-synthetic engine lubricants for petrol and diesel engines are said to have been formulated with the company's proprietary PurePlus technology.
The technology features a 99.5% pure base oil made from natural gas.
Both engine lubricants also feature the company's unique Active Cleansing Technology which is said to help keep engines close to factory-clean conditions with its ability to resist physical and chemical degradation.
The oils are also said to prevent the build-up of performance-robbing deposits while providing superior wear and corrosion protection even in extreme operating conditions.
By doing so, both lubricants will help to enhance fuel economy as well as protection against sludge and wear-and-tear to help protect against excessive engine maintenance.
